OK. Its been a long time. A long, long time. Tons of things have happened. I can't count on fingers and toes the number of times I have been introspective, thinking trains with plenty of cars and no cabooses, always intending to write it all up here. But, inevitably, I don't. Hopefully I'll remember the big things, and if not, how will you ever know anyway? ;)

Big Thing No. 1: I got a kitten. *squeals* Its been a month or two and Im still in absolute enthusiasm mode. He's black and tiny (4 mo. now though...my baby's growing up!) I named him Oliver, Ollie for short, and if I'm trying to find a shadow in a dark room, Ollie Ollie Oxenfreeeeee!!! I have pictures and I'd love to share, however, my digital camera software refuses to cooperate.

Big Thing No. 2: I am now gainfully employed, and boy does it feel good to not be broke. I'm officially and A.C. Moore bitch. Hoo-ah! The people are wonderful and you don't know how hard it is to take home a paycheck. I work MWF 5:30-9:30, and Sat 9:30-5:30; feel free to come and see me, just be forewarned that with Christmas only 4 months away, the store will be inconcievably busy on Fri and Sat until after the holiday season. So if you want more than a cursory wave, I suggest Mon or Wed.

Big Thing No. 3: I'm back at school. Duh. I have a single room and I love it. I love being able to have my Mere over without fearing for my life. While I hate my Hispanic and English Lit courses, I can't get enough of my EDU courses. I'm chomping at the bit to get out to the schools and jump right in. I never realized the passion I had for this, but its wonderful; I love being so sure of this life I've chosen for myself.

In other news, Mere and I are entertaining the thought of sharing an apartment next year, between Winston and Gboro, so we can stop the crazy commute to one another, and so I can have a home with kitties, which is very very important. I can't wait til I have a home to give Lee, a cat at the Humane Society that Ive fallen in love with. I feel so much for him that I get really teary talking about how much I want to take him home. Corny, sentimental, I know, but Im getting soft in my old age.

New Mountain Dew black grape stuff is pretty good...Mere says it tastes like those shark gummies and I have to agree.
