Some thoughts on Star Wars
I've been thinking a lot about Star Wars lately, and reading things that lots of different people have written, and it has gotten me thinking about the Star Wars series as a whole. Because of this, I aquired a copy of ROTS from the internet. It's excellent quality, aside from the time stamps running through the whole movie, although I've only seen a clip. I've done this to watch the movie again, and look for some things. THe reason I want to look for these things is that I want to do something that's completely new...at least for me. I'm going to try writing a series of LJ entries about the Star Wars universe. Just some of my thoughts on why things happend in the stories the way they did. I plan on both defending and tearing down Lucas in it, and to top things off I want to write about what I think should be done for more Star Wars Movies, because there's already rumors of more movies to be made. Slashdot mentioned that Lucas was thinking of another movie, set before TPM, showing the Jedi several hundred years before Anakin. However, he has said that at 60 years old, he'd not likely have much to do with such a project, if it were to be done. I think that if it is done, we will see that what Lucas has done for us is not to give us 6 movies of various quality, but instead given us a whole new universe to play in. One that has a rich history, and is just ready made for adventures. So expect my first LJ on this series as soon as I've watched ROTS again.
