[Written|Action?]
[The last few days have been terrible. All Nodoka wants to do is return home and collapse on her bed for awhile, perhaps do some light reading whilst she recovers.

Returning to her room again and pushing the door-- Only to slam her head into it. Locked. Oh, well she'll just get her key... That's right, her key was gone. And her ( Read more... )

You lost your key?

[ Even with the whole moon thing from only a few days ago, Ange sounds pretty calm and casual as usual as she speaks up. P-p-p-pokerface. ]

... Do you have any clue around what area you might have lost it? [ Not that she means anything by it.. obviously.. ]

Y-Yes! I always keep it with me but n-now...

[Trailing off as she bends down to look at the floor... Nope, nothing here either.]

Right now I'm looking around the building I stay in. I d-didn't have it when the moon fell either! It's probably been missing for days n-now. [Sigh.] Sorry for the trouble, Ange-san.

Don't apologize. It's not like you're getting me into trouble, the only one you're getting into trouble with this is yourself, right?

[ For a moment she pauses, a bit pensively. ] If it's been missing for days, then there's a pretty big chance someone already found it. Unless it fell in some really faraway or obscure place.

That would be great! If someone found it th-then I hope they saw my message and will return my key...

[...]

But what if they didn't see it? Th-They might not know it's mine and could end up throwing it away!

Nobody would be dumb enough to throw away a random key, right? If it were something like a soda can, I'd tell you to say farewell to it already, but.. everyone knows a key belongs to someone and is pretty important, so I don't think anyone would be enough of an idiot to do that.

Are you certain? Surely it would depend on the person. Th-They might not be able to find what it opens and could just leave it somewhere.

[Sighing. Forever the optimist Nodoka.]

It's times like this I wish this place had a 'lost and found' or something...

[ watch out, here goes Ange's cynicism in full force.. ]

Well, it's not like a lost and found might help matters much. This place isn't full of good people who would immediately return it to that kind of place if they might find it. Some people here would even just do it for the sake of playing a prank on another person. [ shrug. ] It's not reliable.

B-But I've met plenty of good people here. I'm sure there would be lots of different people who would end up handing in something like that.

[There are some good people here, therefore there are lots of good people. Yup.]

Doing something like that for the sake of a prank is a step too far though, surely?

I've met people who have done far worse as a 'prank'. [ Not that she mentions the details, since.. well, Nodoka is so shy and innocent and she really doesn't want to ruin her with tales about that one time she was made into burger meat for someone else's amusement.. ]

But regardless, you should always be at least a little wary of people. If you're too trusting and think too many people are good, that will just be taken advantage of.

Oh, I hope you weren't the one on the receiving end of those people's pranks then. E-Especially if they're worse than taking someone's key.

[Oh she's not so innocent. There was this one time, with these tentacles you see. Nothing happened of course, but hey, tentacles are terrifying things. And then there's her perverted inner mind...

Well I am a little wary of some people. It's a little difficult to be careful around nicer people though! But, uhm, I'll try and be a little more wary from now on Ange-san.

I've been, actually. A few times. But it's nothing I couldn't deal with one way or another. [ read: nothing she couldn't survive.. well, except for that one hamburger time.

Tentacles... Let's not get into those details either.. ]

... That's good. I hate it when people take advantage of other people's willingness to believe, so I'd be pretty pissed if someone would try to pull that off on you. [ don't think too much of it.. ]

[ voice ] OH WOW Did I just screw up my html like a pro? I think I did. alreadyknowsyou November 6 2011, 17:40:49 UTC
Ah, you handled it yourself? And then there's me bothering other people with my problems when you deal with your own. Perhaps I should work towards being a little more independent.

[Oh no, let's get into those details. See, there was this mercenary group, and one of these mercenaries had a thing for boobs. Said mercenary can also control tentacles-- oh, they're a girl by the way --and Nodoka was all 'kyaaa' and then Negi showed up and was all 'SAVE YOU' so Nodoka was then all 'sank kyu!' but her clothes had been ripped off... SO ANYWAY.

brb thinking too much of it] Oh please don't get annoyed if something like that happened to me. I-It would be my own fault after all.

No, it's okay to ask for help in this kind of situation, Nodoka-san. My circumstances were just a little bit different, so I didn't exactly have anyone I could ask for help. [ that, and yes, she's just too stubborn to ever ask for help. Re: her attitude in this place forever.

And I need to actually read/watch this series, hearing all this.. if not just because Negi and Ange share a voice actress.. ]

It's more that person's fault for taking advantage of you to start with than yours. I hate people like that more than anything.

[ voice ] Oh of course, thank you for reminding me. alreadyknowsyou November 7 2011, 14:26:33 UTC
Different... In that you had no one around who you could ask for help? O-Or was it a situation which meant you just couldn't ask for help? [...] Ah, I'm prying, s-sorry!

[Oh snap they do? I had no idea. Now see, this is a reason for me to get into Umineko.]

Well yes, but if I were to place trust in the sort of person who would take advantages of me then I would have brought it upon myself.

[ voice ] you're going to ruin me with these jokes.. repudiationist November 7 2011, 15:08:26 UTC
Don't apologize for that. [ even if she actually doesn't really want people to pry, but.. well, she can tell a little. ] It's just that I had nobody around who would be willing to help me out, that's pretty much it. So I learned to fight for myself for the things I want.

[ I FOUND IT OUT THE OTHER DAY.. it's hilarious since Ange's VA voices people in both Nodoka and Touma's series. Destiny. ]

... You blame yourself too much for things, Nodoka-san.

Oh, a-alright... Well if you ever need help around here I'll be sure to lend you a hand Ange-san! Ah, not that you need it of course, but just in case you're ever stuck or anything like that.

[OH YOU RINA SATOU~ You might even say it is... Fate Averruncus.]

I do? ...Oh, uh. I see. [...So she assumes that means she should stop blaming herself for things as often.]
