When Lily was ill, I could never get the pepcid into her so I devised a way, I wonder if it would be easier for grymwysh to digest. I'd take the 1/4 pill prescribed and powder it in a mortar & pestle, or crush it to powder with a knife-handle on the counter, and then I'd add just a few drops of water and stir/poke it w/my finger to dissolve. Then I'd suck this up into a little syringe with no needle (the vet will have these for you) and squirt it into the side of her mouth. She didn't love it, and I'd have to hide the syringe up my sleeve as I approached, but I know she felt better once it was in.
Don't feel bad about feeding the scraps. We don't know if that contributed at all, and anyway, you thought you were giving the best, and gave in love! It's not your fault, there have to be genetic predispositions toward these things, and causes we can't control.
When I lay my hands and ran energy to Bunky, she would soak it all up for a while, and then, after a certain point, she interrupted it by trotting over to eat her food (something we desperately wanted her to do). It was replicable, we would laugh and say, "Look at that, every time!" So, I know you know how to do it: just erase all doubt (which is so prevalent during times of worry that it can even make you forget what you can do) and know that it really, really works. Even with Lily, I KNOW it made everything easier.
When I was at the vet once, a lady overheard that it was looking very bad for my cat, and we were looking at nearing the end (for Bunky, actually, who's still with me 3 years later!) Her eyes were full of caring and she said to me, "Sometimes just holding them while thinking and feeling loving thoughts -- this can really do a lot, so much, amazing things."

and he did play with me for a while tonight, and had a good time. he made a few especially high jumps. but now he's stretched out working on processing stuff again. i know that after a few days on the new meds and special high-protein food things should improve...
thank you as always for the love and hope and reminders of energy work. this winter has been so hard. for everyone. i am battling some serious depression and trying at least to acknowledge that it is happening so that i can figure out what i need to do to help myself. so that i can help my kitter, and my world!
and mishis says thank you. xoxoxox

I've found that if you fill yourself with energy first, let yourself receive an uplifting color/vibration, until you're like a cup running over (and still being perpetually poured into), and then you let it flow to/through the cat, it will help you both. I found this better than flowing through 'just a hand' or just through the heart chakra alone. Fill as if a slow, constant waterfall were pouring in from your foot to head AND head to foot, and it overflows.
'May your cup runneth over' ;)
