Summary: Nino thinks Ohno’s the one who doesn’t pay attention…
Rating: PG [fluffiness ahoy!]
Disclaimer: If I owned them, I wouldn’t be fat ;P

“Oh-chan~!” Nino called into the changing room. Sure enough, there he was: hunched over a pad of paper on his lap, his face still and concentrated, his pencil making its slow way across the paper.

He made his way to where his captain sat. “Ne, Ohchan, what’cha doing?” he asked, looking over Ohno’s shoulder. He never really paid attention to what Ohno’s next creation would be, but he was glad to watch him work on it. He loved to watch Ohno work. To see how involved he would get over his work was pretty inspiring to watch, no matter who you were.

And to Nino, it was a little sexy as well.

But Ohno was concentrating too hard, Nino thought. Or he would’ve answered him by now. And Nino wasn’t one to sit around and wait. So he moved until he was right behind Ohno and slowly, casually draped his arms around Ohno’s shoulders. Still no response.

Huffing, Nino decided he wasn’t going to be ignored and not at least get something out of it. Starting from Ohno’s shoulders, Nino let his hands roam freely. Ohno had cute shoulders, Nino though, giving them a quick massage before continuing his exploration. Next were captain’s arms. Nino had always admired the build Ohno kept over the years. He wasn’t some twig like Matsujun, nor was he all buffed out like Sho. He liked how his Oh-chan was thin, but not overly so. And he had his share of muscles, that was for sure. You just had to watch him dance or exercise to find that out. Or you could be Nino, who was currently pressing his fingers lightly on Ohno’s arms, feeling the muscles under the thin layer of his shirt. If only his leader could see the smile on Nino’s face. No one else would see this smile but him. It was Nino’s secret smile reserved for only one person.

Who was still unresponsive.

Nino was really beginning to lose his patience. He had walked in on Ohno drawing or painting dozens of times, and all he usually had to do was call out his name for him to recognize him.

Taking his right hand, Nino let it slide down Ohno’s arm to his hand, where he was still adding details to his paper. He gently let his hand rest on top of Ohno’s, one finger on top of the other. It now looked as if Nino was directing Ohno’s hand and helping him draw. Slowly, Ohno stopped what he was doing. He turned to face Nino, who was still smiling.

“Ne, Nino,” he began, an embarrassed smile showing. “Sorry.”

Nino couldn’t help but forgive him for ignoring him. Oh-chan was just too cute to stay mad at.

“I didn’t want to stop until it was perfect,” he continued, sitting up straight. He took the sketch pad and moved it to where Nino could clearly see it.

Nino gasped, his tell-all smile disappearing. It was a picture of him: his face, asleep, from Ohno’s view. His eyes were softly closed, his mouth slightly open, and he was hugging the pillow his head rested on. The lines Ohno had used were soft, giving the picture a sort of glow.

“It was from this morning,” Ohno said shyly. “I had to wake up early to attend that meeting, remember? And when I saw how peaceful you looked, I couldn’t help but keep the image of you with me. It was too beautiful. I… I had to draw it.”

Nino was still speechless. He couldn’t believe that he hadn’t even paid enough attention to what Ohno was drawing. It brought warmth to his heart to know how much Ohno wanted this picture, a picture of him, to be perfect. That he had put all his energy, all his focus, all on Nino’s behalf.

“It’s beautiful, Oh-chan,” he finally said, a hand coming up to pick up the sketch pad. “It looks perfect.”

“It should,” Ohno said, standing up. “Because the person I drew is beautiful and perfect.”

Nino couldn’t help but let his emotions come forth. Smiling, he felt a tear try to make its way out. Ohno, ever-observant Ohno, took his hand and tenderly wiped the tear away. He took Nino by the waist and embraced him, holding him tight, gently rocking him from side to side. Nino moved so his face was in front of his, and pressed his face forward, letting their foreheads touch.

No more words were needed, when all they could see was each other.
