A prodigious marvellous unicorn chaser

Nov 04, 2010 22:00

So my unicorn chaser to wash down today's misery/adsfkjlafs will be however much of The Black Moth, which I love very much, I manage to read tomorrow.

This book, for those unfamiliar with Georgette Heyer's premier oeuvre, is about an unfairly disgraced nobleman who earns his living as a highwayman now, and his estranged brother (Richard Carstairs, srsly, and apparently there are "men being wounded and pushing through the pain to fight! For honour! And things." (I have got to do a better job of reviewing books; it's equally amusing and painful to reread old entries.) So basically it is exactly like LOLmond except everything gets resolved happily ever after in about 250 quick pages.

And if I come back on Saturday talking like an 18th century English dandy, I apologize.
