I am a nocturnal writer, and it's all the Navy's fault.
Well, not really, but sort of.
When I was on ships, the days were so full of activity and so full of interruptions that I would usually work on things after taps, when everything calmed down. So guess when my brain now thinks it needs to collate ideas and work?
Yep. Night. I can't seem to shut out enough distraction until it gets dark outside. I found limited success in daylight in various quiet spots on campus, but most of the work on the writing and the papers all came sometime after 10pm.
I think I was meant to be a hermit. Either that, or a sleepless grumpy person.
