Number One

Getting one of these things was recommended to me by a higher-up at Interpol, not for the sake of having a diary but so that I could communicate with the Pack when we weren't all in the same place. That's fine. I understand that.

But that's not enough, either! How am I supposed to set a good example to my men using something so formal, so impersonal, as what amounts to an online bulletin board? This won't do for the pack, and it won't do for me!

Lang Zi says, "If you wish to know a man's heart, read his diary." So that's how it will be: I will share my heart with you, unafraid of who may read it, so that the men who follow me will know my heart as well as I know theirs! There are no secrets in this place, in the Den of the Wolf!

There's a police auction going on in LA, and seeing as the Pack is in town for the next few weeks, I think we'll stop by. I expect all of you to be on your best behavior. Treat every civilian as if they were a member of a fellow pack!

Steven, give your son my congratulations for his graduation. I hope he likes his gift.

Stephen, ditto for your sister's baby shower. There's a gift receipt in case she doesn't like the color blue.
