I'm putting this out here more as a reminder for myself than for anybody reading this (not that I have any ardent readers in the first place). I'm fairly keen to pursue the research topic of women in Singapore. I'm thinking of putting together a comprehensive website documenting my research. The question actually came from one of my SS tutors: "where are the women in Singapore's history?". We can easily name the key male figures in Singapore's history. But even as I trawl the internet, and manipulate the search engines, I don't seem to be able to find a comprehensive and easily accessible site with all the information in one page. Unless you count the wiki page "women of Singapore" which is fairly general in its description anyway.
At least, that's from what I know/have discovered so far. If someone can show me wrong, I'd be more than happy. Because I am interested to know about the lives and stories of the women in Singapore. So if someone else has done the research for me, that would be fantastic.
