home for now
Hi all. I thought that as long as I had a minute I would let you all know that we are home again after a nice 5 days of playing and working.
We left here last Saturday, the last day on January, and headed to Aspen, well Carbondale really but close enough. We met up with my sister and her husband and had a nice dinner and then I went out with my sister. Sunday dawned kind of cloudy but cleared up nicely and we headed out to Snowmass to ski. A great day. We did the entire mountain including the very top that you have to take a tow rope to. That was interesting. We kind of just hung out in the hot tub after skiing and ate dinner. Monday we got up, drove to Grand Junction to be there in time to take Doug's parents to their dr. appointments. We did lots of stuff around the house and just ran errands for them. We even found a new bed for dad so that was good. We did go to a good Thai place for dinner and got to meet the newest member of the Gilmor family, an 8 week old yellow lab puppy. Soooo cute. And Rob's sister who is very nice. Tuesday was more stuff with the folks and
then we left to return to Aspen. Had a nice dinner at a mexican place by them. Mark, dad had the lava bowl remember? Then Wednesday we went skiing again. And even better day if that is possible. So sunny and warm and great snow. They need some new snow but I think they are suppose to get that this week. We came home yesterday and Doug is back at work today. It was a full week but we had fun with all that we did. We both realized that we have spent more time together in the car in the last 6 months than we have in the last 10-20 years. Crazy. Anyway, we are home now for awhile. I leave Monday the 16th to drive back to Grand Junction for a couple of appointments and to have the new bed delivered. Have a good weekend.
