I can't believe I haven't been updating for 8 weeks, like my home screen just told me. We have been busy--we've been to Utah, kids' sports adfinitum, illnesses, and I just went to the premiere of New Moon the other day. Also, my husband and I had a rare date night last night and saw "The Blind Side" which I highly recommend to you all ( Read more... )

Callie!! *hugs* I'm always pleasantly surprised when I hear from you because, honestly, if I was in Paris, I would disappear--so I appreciate you always checking in. And yes, I think you have it correctly, I have never liked talking about myself most probably because I don't think anyone will care. Except close friends and relatives or whatnot. Plus my days are usually "did the laundry, listened to the kids fight until I lost my mind, cooked dinner" BORINGGGGG. But I appreciate you saying that. *hugs again*

Wasn't that dream the weirdest? And honestly, pretty hot...you just can't help how you feel in dreams, can you, so I will concede that Dream!Matrix!Sulu was smokin'. He had a scruffy beard and he kind of murmurred my name in my ear...*shudder* again, wtf??? Yes, that is a convenience store. Because my dream self knows how to earn the big bucks.

IKNOW, there is no excuse that I haven't watched SPN yet...I've downloaded it to watch and everything. I was at the New Moon premiere that night and so I missed it...I plan on watching it tonight cause I know it's a biggie. And YESOHYES Jacob is a hottie. As every tween on the planet agrees after seeing that movie. He's legal, now, right? So it's not too pervy...for you anyway. lol. The movies are ok, I just keep my hopes very low because some of the dialogue from the books is soooo cheesy I just know onscreen it's gonna be cringeworthy. So I just watch the hotties and sit back, suspend my expectations, and enjoy. It was fun seeing it with all the other adoring fans, a lot of teen angsty energy in that auditorium, I'll tell you what. I think the director this time did a more satisfying interpretation of the book--really included a lot and advanced the storyline without giving up key points pretty well. But did you catch the other werewolves and their crappy physiques???? They are supposed to be huge and ripped and all, and those dudes were skinny and some had man boobs and potbellies!!! Geez, if you know your shirt is gonna be off the entire movie, wouldn't you invest in a personal trainer???? Like Jacob????

I like Glee, again, I suspend heavy expectations and just enjoy the performances. Everyone has a kickin voice and I think the teacher is really cute (HATE HATE his wife). It cracks me up how they burst into song at random times, and for some reason I am liking the dude with the mohawk better than Finn right now. Anyway, I like it ok, I don't worship it or anything. :)

The Blind Side is a movie about Micheal Oher, who plays for the Ravens now, and his story about he overcame a horrible background and learned how to play football with the help of a foster family of sorts. Sandra Bullock is in it as his foster mom and does a fantastic job. Really good 'feel good' movie. When you get home, see it.

We are going to CA for Thanksgiving, but I think we'll be here for Christmas. And yes, email me!! And I forgot to mention I have a new phone with a keyboard and unlimited texting so I can actually communicate that way now!!! I miss our SPN 'conversations' during the episodes. And YES please tell me about Frankie, I have PLENTY PLENTY of Abby stories. Esp. lately. Maybe that's why I don't update either, it's all depressing "I feel like a crappy parent" stuff, too. Sigh.

Anyway, this is the longest reply in the history of ever, so I guess we need to start emailing or something, huh??

Take Care Callie!!

Yes yes yes, I have been meaning to tell you guys that forever. I am so bad at texting and my previous plan didn't allow me to do it without massive fees, so I am so glad we changed everything up and got a phone that a disabled texter like me can use. I'll go check your journal for sure.
