callie_828 has inspired and humbled me in her lj post today. I have been fighting with my kids who are home for a half day and tired and grumpy. Until I read her journal. And kicked my own ass for not being more grateful. So here's my happy list today, in no particular order whatsoever (I thought I may as well go out with a bang since who knows how long it'll be before I post again, lol):
Callie (
callie_828 ): for being one of the brightest people I know. And always, always being an original and a thinker and taking time out of your busy, busy life to bother with me and my mundane-ness. How you deal with your problems and limitations (there aren't many) inspires me. And you are a wonderful nanny who is basically a mother to those kids.
Beth (
call_me_ps ): for calling me "Chrissy" on your own, not knowing that's what my best friends and family always call me and make me feel loved. Also for being a very talented writer and a a giver and a great example of motherhood. You are one in a million, doll and one of the very best reasons I kept going back to the lameness that was the hpn.
Michelle: I couldn't survive without you and you know this. I thank the Powers That Be every day for you and the rest of my family. You are endlessly funny and sarcastic and one of the best Moms on the planet. And you kick ass at Catch Phrase, Charades (not so much at Pictionary). Love you sistah.
Erica: for moving closer to me and not minding what you are getting yourself into. For being beautiful in and out, patient, kind, and smart and funny. For loving my kids so much. For keeping the nickname "caca" that Alex gave you a gazillion years ago. For being a nearly perfect daughter to your parents.
Allison: one of the most purely intelligent and talented persons I know. Also the most creative and giving of herself. You are truly one of a kind, gifted musically and also a great Mom. Which brings me to:
Ashley: who I don't know as well as I want to, but you are a ray of light to those around you. And a fantastically talented and creative mother. I love your tenacity with getting onto American Idol (It'll happen) and your beautiful singing voice.
Kristin: Another incredibly talented and creative person I am so lucky to know. You have a beautiful, caring spirit and patience which makes you an exemplary mother. I have never talked to someone who could listen as well as you. You are a great friend and I cannot say enough good things about you! And you have mad painting skillz.
Vickie (
cynikal_lemon ): I am so glad to have met you on here! You are so intelligent (wow I see a pattern with all my flisters) and so dedicated to your family. Thanks for your advice on Abby and your interesting views on God are very entertaining. You have big things waiting in store, chicky.
Katie (
katiedid717 ): One of the many delightful people I followed her from the hpn, also very bright and beautiful. I love your sense of humor about yourself and how you don't let anyone get you down.
Lernie (
monkeyshine4616 ): I know you are going through a lot right now and I admire your fight and your drive. You are also very talented and beautiful and very very bright. And you have two amazing daughters who are lucky to have you. And you resemble Dorothy. :)
Rachel (
ack_attack ): I know you have a bazillion friends and won't even see this, but you are probably the cleverest person I have ever known...you are only going to go up, up and up. Your recaps/icons/anything you do are amazing. And you are a stupendous friend to your flist.
I feel like once I got started talking about you all, I couldn't say enough good things about you guys. There are other people I could mention who I don't see on here much (hello, Lonnie!! Miss you.) but I appreciate all of you and how you have touched my life. Thanks for brightening all of my days.
XOXOXO
