Z-Day Post Five - Almost Anti-climactic
By this time last year, I had the inkling that Something Was Seriously Wrong Here. I don't know if I'd said the 'z' word yet, but I was sure thinking it. So far today, other than the flat tire and the lack of access to LJ or google news feeds (both of which I'm attributing to my company's legendary tightwad ways), the day is... like every other day. I've even asked the visiting nurses if they've seen 'anything strange' out there today. Other than pantsless patients greeting them at the door and the occasional bipolar who's off her meds, the day seems to be business as usual. In a way that's very good, but in another way... I just can't help waiting for the other shoe to drop. It is June 13, after all, and worse, it's a Friday.
