So I'm here in the Tri-Cities of Washington on sales calls:

View Larger MapNever been here before. It is, less than I expected...real small town, or technically 3 small towns that must have combined to become a city, but then kept their individual town names so they could be the "Tri-Cities" or something. Definitely not like the Tri-Cities in ( Read more... )

Most people haven't heard of anything in Washington other than Seattle =D and most people in Seattle haven't heard of the Tri-Cities. About the only other city East of Seattle people would really know would likely be Spokane...

I've never actually been to Pullman...I imagine it is similar to the Tri-Cities and Spokane though.

Well...that depends on the time of year (when the students are in class). The population of the town literally doubles.

I used to go back and forth between Pullman and Spokane quite a bit actually (my uncle lives in Spokane). Pullman is a town; Spokane is a medium sized city, which to me indeed trends toward the conservative (very much more than Seattle certainly). Pullman itself is conservative and rural as well, but on the Washington State campus its a different story (more liberal, as most large university campuses--at least to me--tend to be).

Interesting to know! Well I will have to get into Pullman one of these days to check out ZL's old stomping grounds. Any burger joints you recommend in the area?

And Spokane is indeed a very conservative area. But some really good people there; I just have troubles talking politics with them.

I wasn't a huge burger fan. I know there was a drive-in place at Colfax though (a small town not too far from Pullman) that we always passed on the way...

:p
