how to raise a spoiled brat
what is it that makes parents think it's a good idea to raise their children to believe the world is in their palm? no courtesy, no empathy, a general lack of feeling and respect towards others-even those close to them. they have no concern for anyone who lives outside their skin. and how much longer are we all going to put up with their bullshit? it's not too late to teach these narcissistic jerks some empathy, is it? ignoring their bullshit doesn't help because they take that as acceptance of their actions- afterall, they aren't mind readers. but we can't go around telling other adults how they should behave, really. so what do we do? maybe try and politely explain to them that their actions can frustrate and even hurt those around them? it could work, but if they grew up not giving a shit about people it would be really hard to try and teach it to them now, if you even CAN teach it... maybe it's born in.
fuck, it's just really wearing me out having to deal with it so regularly, even from those closest to me. most of the time it's not even apathy, it's just cluelessness.
tomorrow's my last day home. i have to go to bed to prepare for the emotionally rocky road.
