COLD AND DARK
The walls were closing in.
The cold was surrounding him, choking him…
He was terrified.
Horrible memories came flooding back.
His mother. Always yelling.
Hitting him for fighting with his brother.
It was always his fault.
The dark became more oppressive.
The walls.
The constant screams… ravings of the insane.
He was so cold.
Sirius woke suddenly, not even daring to open his eyes until he heard the soft snores of the other boys and became aware of Remus’ comforting warmth next to him.
He didn’t know what that place was, but he wished he could stop dreaming of it.
