This is great, but, come on, where's the comfort to go with this hurt? Surely Dean's not going to sleep through Sam killing himself? Where's part two, where Dean finds him, stops him, and helps him move on?

So I figure, best to leave it here, where we can all rest assured that Dean will wake up and figure it out, or Castiel will grab him and say, "Save your brother" or whatever. SOMETHING.

So it looks like I'm going to be the terrible person who wants to see Dean's reaction / subsequent meltdown, instead of averting the disaster. I mean, sure, if he did stop Sam, that'd be great also, but I have a weird love of AAAAANGST, especially the kind that breaks my soul into pieces.

...I guess I'm trying to find a nice way of saying "kill Sam and break Dean's heart into a million pieces for my sick amusement," which, um. Sounds like I'm the worst person ever. But happy endings aren't always the best?

Hee! No, you don't sound horrible. AAAAAAANGST is pretty fun sometimes, just what you need. And this is an angsty story, for sure.
