I haven't heard back from HR since I requested an accommodation under Title VII. Fifty bucks says the Town Attorney is looking at my request trying to decide whether they can or cannot require me to take the test, and whether I can or cannot ask them to explain a negative response to the Department of Justice.
Three other people told me that they are refusing to take the Town Manager mandated Covid test. I've heard that several others are considering refusing.
Just because People Are Scared doesn't mean they get access to my health care information. If they want to shelter in place until whales develop space flight, that's fine. Their fears, however, aren't my problem. My problems involve my immunocompromised wife, my livelihood, my health, and my rights.
My rights are not subject to suspension -- that's why they're called inalienable .
I will walk into an oven for nobody.
