Woke up relatively early this morning, so went for a run for the first time in ages. 4.5km which I didn't time, felt good though, not too hard. Little toe doesn't entirely like getting into barefoot shoes, but survived okay. The tendon in my other foot doesn't seem to be complaining, which is good. More running on the cards! Also need to start training for the pack test - walking round Aotea Lagoon 6.5 times in under 45 mins, and increasing the weights day by day until I can easily manage the 20.5kg on the day.
Mowed the lawns when I got home from the run - good timing too, I was getting spat on a bit, but managed to get it all done shortly before it started pissing down.
Then I went out & bought a 20kg weight set so I can carry on with some weight training even though my live-in personal trainer moved out, taking his gym with him. It also gives me some conveniently heavy items to load my pack with.
And then I carried on with spring cleaning in the kitchen. The fridge has been cleaned, and the cupboards cleared out, cleaned and then restocked. The next step is washing the walls & ceiling, and I'll see if I can get the oven out of its spot to clean behind it...
Dinner was a tasty and healthy mix of spinach, mushrooms, basil, garlic & bacon.
Currently trying to decide between more cleaning, or blobbing & playing something on the Xbox, or making cookies.
