People will pay money for that?
So last weekend I put my old couch up for sale on TradeMe, along with a set of shelves in the shape of a boat. I had been planning on taking the shelves to the tip shop, but put them up with a $1 reserve, just to see if anyone would pay money for them. The couch went for $51, and was picked up this afternoon. The shelves went for a staggering $30.50! WTF?! I ain't complaining - it'll be a nice contribution to the $100 I spent on a climbing harness from the States (half the price of the same model here, even after shipping) - I'm just astounded that someone will pay money for my crap. Might have to see if there's anything else I can do away with..
Greebo still hasn't eaten Spoons, Spoons is still quite terrified of Greebo, though Greebs seems to be pretty tolerant unless Spoons is between him and his food bowl, in which case Spoons gets swatted out of the way. It looked like Greebo actually wanted to play with Spoons the other night, bouncing his front paws, with his ears pricked right forward, but Spoons was defensively lying on his side and yowling, so maybe the Greebly Monster was just being a bully.
