I has a dehydrator
Appliance shopping (not bra shopping) - Flybuys finally had something worth buying with the points I've accumulated over many years, so I'm now the proud owner of a food dehydrator, and I'm currently making biltong-flavoured jerky using the recipe here. I bought a $20 pack of schnitzel (weight unknown), and one batch of that recipe seems to do a quarter of the schnitzel, so I'll be interested to see how much $5 worth of jerky is. 250g of whole coriander was only $3 from Moore Wilsons, and that will last a while! I'll try drying some of the ornamental plums when more have ripened, and I'll have a tree-load of apples when they become ready.
