More gardening
Went to the garden centre today and bought a lemon tree and some more compost, then came home and set about dismembering the mahoe that was growing by the chimney - it was ugly (I'm sure it had started life as a weed), it would complete my clearing of that garden bed, I was feeling destructive, and it's where I want to put my lemon tree. Loppers took care of the branches, and then the axe took care of the trunk. Still have to deal with the stump however, and there isn't much I can do about the part of the root system that goes under the concrete path. I think I'll just keep attacking the stump with the axe until it's mostly gone. Found a big rat nest at the base of the tree, thankfully it wasn't occupied...
Craig's coming to get the last of his stuff early tomorrow, and then I guess I'll be rearranging furniture, so that I have a lounge again. Must get a cover for the fold-out couch, and arrange to pick up the tv...
