In the past 11 days, life has been medium rare to fun.
I guess the most exciting thing was my thumb healing well... who am I kidding? My 25th birthday, which I celebrated in style for the first time in four years was the most interesting occurance. I went to Cafe Spiga, a lovely Portuguese/Italian place in the Byward Market, and followed it up with a grand bash of friends at Patty Boland's. I think there's incriminating photographic evidence, which I will post once I have access to it.
I had so much fun. Really, the past four years were worth it.
Oh, and my thumb is healed. Yay, me!
Another interesting turn of events is my doctoral visit. As in, I went to see a sports doctor about my knees. The same knees which haven't been the same since I sprained one at a time, the left in August, the right in February.
He moved my legs around, bent them back, straightened them out, and then pressed in a few spots that made me say, "Ow, ow, ow, please don't do that again!"
He told me he would refer me to get MRIs done on each knee, and in the meantime, I can play until it hurts (which if you think about it, makes some fraction of sense). He thinks the left is meniscus, while the right is something internal. The internal part is worrying to me, so I leave the knee-brace on that. Maybe I just need two knee braces.
In other news, we won against tonight's team 15-6. We'd previously lost to this team 12-15, so this victory makes us that much more confident. We hope. Tonight, I scored two of those 15 points. Go me!
