playing catch up

So, it's been a while since I last posted. This seems to be the common theme of a majority of my journal entries.

Overall, my life is going pretty smoothly. Some key things that have occurred since the beginning of 2009 (good and bad) are:

- We found out that Nate's oldest brother, Ron, has terminal brain cancer. We found out on Christmas Eve, and can only hope that he recovers, although the doctor has claimed that he won't. He's only 37 years old, so this thought all together is entirely depressing. He's such a great guy and has so much faith, which keeps him strong and positive. I'm happy that he has that, at least.

+ Nate and I have been happily married for about 10 months now. It's hard to believe that it will be a year in June. Time sure does fly, but we're having a lot of fun together.

+ I've lost 55 pounds since April of 2008, which makes me feel great. I'm the smallest I've ever been and I'm wearing pants in the single digits sizes -- yay. I'm on Weight Watchers, and so is Nate! He's lost 100 pounds, and he looks incredible.

+ I have found a new addiction -- running. I love to run and I find myself wanting to run randomly throughout the day. It's the best feeling, even though I don't feel like it helps me lose weight. I still feel healthier!

+ We are purchasing our first home together in a couple of months! We are going to look at a home tomorrow in Windham, but are holding out for the perfect home for us.

+ I'm still at the credit union. It'll be 3 years in November and it's looking pretty positive. I'm figuring out what I like to do and developing more of a detailed career path for myself.

+ Graduating on May 16th with my BS in Business Administration! I can't wait, but won't be done my capstone course until August. Nate will go to school next (again) and hopefully figure out what he'd like to do next.

+ Nate and I paid off our credit card debt and only have a car loan together now, as well as a future mortgage. It's nice, though.

+ Started making greeting cards and will be selling them on www.etsy.com very soon. Nate is hoping to start up his screen printing shop again and we hope to run a small family business out of our new home.

I guess the positives outweigh the negatives. I promise my future posts won't be all about me and self-absorbed, but I was just updating if anyone ever reads this.
