She faces the mirror.
The one that used to hold her reflection.
But everything was fading.
and everyone is changing so fast she says.
I remember standing motionless.
against the changing sky.
and he would say the most peculiar things
like.. Isn't it funny how our breath
parts our lungs and crystalizes on a night like this.
and she shuts her eyes. and her tears like a fountain.
a fountain long overfilled.
and she remembers when his touch burnt like a bad sun burn.
leaving its mark on her fair skin.
Skintones and razorlines. Will she give in this time?.
and she walks on the grave stones.. Of loved ones long gone.
and she looks to the hands of stone angels to hold her again.
and every breath of air she breathes in.
exits her chest like a bomb.
and the skyline was the brightest of colors.
and the wind wasn't as light as the air.
but much heavier.
and she said when he smiled.
he smiled like a car crash.
and so he pressed his lips to her skin.
and so the tingle in her finger tips begins.
To unfold the unhappiness that burdens her eyes
and he said sing to me.
sing to me a song,
a song like a car crash to match my broken smile.
So i can rest my feeble hand on your cheek.
and she shut her eyes, looking to her eyelashes to save her.
her eyelashes are the only thing that can keep her safe on a night like this.
The skyline was the most encompassing green.
as green as the eyes of her make shift lover.
But lovers they come and they go.
they fade like the contrast of blood on the whitest snow.
and the snow keeps falling.
it keeps falling.
and she said... I wish I was a snowflake..
not afraid to fall.
but always be afraid to melt upon the warming ground.
and her smile is much warmer now.
now that the absence of sound has dissipated.
and she can smile again.
and her heart skips beats again.
that feeling of simple lightness burdens her feet again.
and the skyline is shining again like copies of her sparkling eyes.
shes giving in tonight..
she said i've given you all the time in the world to answer.
But you never replied.
