I am HOME...well actually I have been since Saturday evening. Although it might sound terrible that I haven't been home since the first weekend of June, I have seen my parents and brother quite a few times since then. I will actually be heading back to the cities tomorrow morning.
It's been nice being home. However, it's definitely not been very restful. I have been running here-and-there trying to do things that are easiest done at home; such as, going to the dentist and taking my Jeep in to get fixed. Plus, I have been trying to get last minute Christmas shopping done. I have also tried to think of things I need to do/bring for my trip, but that has just added to my list of things to do when I am back in MPLS. I have a feeling I will be running around MPLS this next week, also. So much for a relaxing break.
In addition, I feel it is quite fitting that I both began and finished this semester with a terrible cold. I feel that this just nicely sums up my semester. However, I am really hoping that it quickly goes away because I seem to have this uncanny talent for ALWAYS being sick whenever I am on a trip. Seriously, since I was a kid I have almost always had some sort of sickness while on vacation ranging from Bronchitis to strep throat. Occasionally, I am so lucky as to have ear infection thrown in there at the same time as another sickness - it just makes flying even more enjoyable. Luckily, I am not leaving until the 31st, so that gives me plenty of time in which to get better (I hope). If I am not, it should make for an interesting story later.
I hope everyone's semester finished up well. I probably won't see most of you until shortly after Jan. 13th, when I get back from Buenos Aires, so I hope you all have a MERRY CHRISTMAS and a HAPPY NEW YEAR whether you are celebrating in Minnesota, Illinois, Iowa, or Canada!!! See you all soon!!!
