I was totally not going to do another TTALCOTCFRACC* for hd_holidays. Or TFALCOTCFRACC* hd_fanart's Advent calender.... But I caved. Oh, I am such a pushover. *facepalm*

hd_holidays DAY ONE

Keys to the City
Summary: Draco gets his wand back. [G]
TTALCOTCFRACC says: This is fabulous. The B&W and sparse use of colour. Lush. Funny and sweet and hopeful.

Symbiosis
Summary: sym·bi·o·sis (sĩm'bē-ō'sĩs) n. Biology A close, prolonged association between two or more different organisms of different species that may, but does not necessarily, benefit each member. [NC17]
TTALCOTCFRACC says: This is a fabulous 8th year Hogwarts fic. I loved the plot, and the smex is smoking hot and our boys are just so good - adolescent refusal to communicate FTW!

Unexpected, A Holiday Tail of Mistaken Identity
Summary: After an accident involving a two year old and a wand, Harry (much to his dismay) is sent to Draco, who believes he’s caring for a pet. A large pet with a bad attitude. [R]
TTALCOTCFRACC says: Oh! Dogs and puppies and Christmas and love! I am smitten!

edit: Because I can't resist the lovely fireflavored I will also be including biscuit and yummy foodstuff recs!

Today's rec is the humble digestive biscuit. According to QI, these are so called because when invented they were marketed as helping with one's, ahem, digestion. Apparently, they cannot be called this in the US because there is no proof they do have these, er, windy effects. American flisties, can you confirm or deny this?

Anyhoo, I had to get some to make the biscuit base for a Key Lime pie I made this weekend (try Nigella's super easy recipe for quick tasty goodness). And of course, I popped one in my mouth while cooking. And they are humble but so delicious. A proper crumbly delight of a biscuit. They also stand up excellently to dunking.

If you (sacrilege alert) find the digestive a little boring for your tastes, then remember they make an excellent base for either sweet or savoury snacks. Brilliant with a smear of peanut butter and a slice of cheese, or just with butter, or for decadence, try them covered in chocolate spread. For extra decadence try them covered in chocolate spread and peanut butter. YUM.
