Okay, this post is going to be very image, video AND text heavy. Just to warn you. My recap of the most wonderful concert I've ever witnessed. Even if you don't like GaGa; watch her sing Stand By Me (and Brown Eyes.. while you're busy). This lady is a Goddess, no doubt about it.

I can't guarantee that I tell everything in exact the right order, like her speeches and stuff (I have the setlist of the songs so at least I don't mess that up), but I don't think that actually matters. In this recap I'm already trying to do the impossible; to put in words how much an impact this concert had on me, how beautiful and how much fun it was, and how GaGa is just a fucking legend (and I don't understand I ever doubted that there COULD be any legends anymore). The pictures are all made by my friend Jennifer by the way, my camera sadly died that night after I took like two shitty pictures of Justin Tranter's butt!

Saturday morning, my friend Jennifer arrived at my house around 12pm. She helped me with my outfit and we did our make up etc, and not much later my other friend, Caya, arrived too. We left around 2pm, and sang along to GaGa's 'Fame Monster' album in the car. We arrived in Arnhem around 3.30pm, so that meant we had to wait another 2 hours before the doors were about to open. There were like.. 100 people in the row waiting already. I don't know EXACTLY, but something like that. I knew that looked like a lot more people outside then it would look inside, since the stage is big and you are all still able to have a good spot with that amount of people, so I didn't have any worries really.
The waiting in a concert usually gets boring like after one hour you sit there. At least, for me. But the waiting this time didn't get boring at all. There were people giving us free drinks (Jillz, it was a commercial stunt or something.. I didn't mind), all the people in line were also sharing food an drinks with eachother, everybody was so nice, and it was just a perfect spot to sit and watch people's outfit. Some of them were so ridiculously awesome and pretty etc, it was fabulous. There was one girl with this long grey wig, badass heels and a beautiful outfit, and some of the people actually believed she WAS GaGa when she came by because she looked like her in the face. Priceless haha.

Around 4.30pm, an hour before the doors would open, the line suddenly started to move very quickly. We were suddenly a lot closer to the entrence but also a lot closer to all the other people lol. I don't know why the line moved so quickly, but most of the time it happens like half an hour or a quarter before the concert actually starts, and that's ok, but now we had to stand for another hour. But oh well, time passed, and then the doors opened and my nerves started. We weren't allowed to run, we did anyhow. I was so bloody excited - and suddenly, there we were. Like third rows from the main stage. A PERFECT spot. Only if she walked on the catwalk or was on the complete right of the stage we couldn't see her THAT well, but then we had the big screens. A few times she came really close. It was fucking awesome. But, however, first we had to wait inside for like two hours again until the Semi Precious Weapons started to play. They played all my fav songs (being Semi Precious Weapons, Sticky With Champagne, Put A Diamond In It, Statues Of Ourselves, Magnetic Baby..) and Justin Tranter is just fucking hot, I'm not even going to lie. And he has balls. Hahah. "SCREAM FOR ME!" *the whole venue screams* "ok and now.. SHUTTT UP. SHUT ÚP". It's hard for opening bands to really get the audience to interact with them, but even though a lot of people must have thought he was awful (I heard afterwards), the whole audience responded really well to him. Several times he asked us to say "GAGA" if he said "Lady" and really, from 40.000 people, that sounded awesome. Haha he also said something like "the only person I love more than myself, the only person I want to fuck, is LADY FUCKING GAGA". He's just so outrageous and out of this world, I love him. During Sticky With Champagne he asked us if we wanted a drink and he grabbed a bottle of champagne. When the audience screamed he took a zip and spit it out over the audience, lmao. I really want them to do a gig here in Holland, I'll def be going. They tweeted that they loved Holland (and they tweeted me yayay) and that they've never seen so many people. Cool! :)

Well, they played for half an hour, so we had to wait AGAIN, and they played MJ music like the whole fucking half an hour, don't get me wrong I like Michael Jackson but this was too much. Lol. But at exactly 21.30pm, the 'deh deh' from Dance In The Dark sounded through the whole venue and the lights dimmed. Huge screams followed, but for a long time you just heard dancy music and saw a clip of a dancing GaGa with a beautiful black dress on a huge white curtain that covered the stage. It later seemed to be transparant. GaGa was behind it, standing on the (beautiful, insane, etc) staircase in the decor, and she barely moved, but when she did, she changed pose like on the beat of the song. You could barely see her behind the curtain, but ON the curtain you could see her silhouette reaaally big. It was really awesome. She sang live already tho and no she's not lipsynching and yes she's fucking awesome live. This lady is insane. She can dance on high heels and sing and still look and sound fabulous at the same time.

After Dance In The Dark the curtain got removed and we finally could see GaGa well. :D She stood there on the staircase for like ages without moving and she looked like a fucking statue lol. I never heard people screaming and clapping so loud. Then the music of Glitter and Grease started, a song that isn't on one of her albums, that's why I thought it was awesome she did it live. I've heard it before so I could sing with it though. By the way, The Monster Ball is like a Broadway show - It's got a storyline in it about GaGa getting lost in the woods etc and at one point her friends leave her and she's got to face the monster, and then when it looks like it's beaten her she comes back with the encore, being Bad Romance. The decors change often and are fucking genius.

When she did Just Dance she came really close for the first time and I flailed. Lol but no, when Just Dance started the whole stadion turned into a fucking huge club, really. It was just one big party. It was immense, crazy, and brilliant. Everybody was dancing the whole evening, some on high heels, till their feet fell off! Haha. Oh and by the way, I don't know where exactly it was, but after an applause (I think after Just Dance really) she said "dankjewel", which means "thank you" in Dutch in the cutest way I've EVER heard it. So presh. <3

Then she sang Beautiful, Dirty, Rich. I love this song! She really sings amazing live and I had a blast dancing all the thoughts about my exams away! :) I'm from now on not going to name EVERY song I think, because I'll keep on saying pretty the same things because it was all so friggin' good hahah. And they're all at the end of the post in videos, so you can check for yourself. Somewhere inbetween the songs she also told us Holland was one of her favorite countries and that she wanted to party with us, she thanked us all for coming and buying a ticket and she's just so cute. I swear.

I believe it was after The Fame that she changed clothes (like a thousand times during the show haha). When this happened a sort of remix sounded through the venue or they played a short movie of her on that white curtain she appeared on in the beginning too. It didn't bother me really, but I read reviews about that beying distracting. Yeah, what could you want, GaGa loves to dress herself in a lot of different things! Hahah. At one point there's this video where the 'old', vintage Gaga pukes blood (and her heart I believe) out, over the other GaGa (and there were people taking their children to their show.. ok then). When Love Game started she got out this tube-thingey with a heart in her hands! She's so awesomely insane! Lol.

During Money Honey if I can remember well she had this awesome Keyboard thingey which made the sound of an electric guitar. It was insane. Me and Caya turned around toward eachother and said the exact same thing at the same time; "THAT'S FRIGGIN' AWESOME!" Hahah. Really, I was so impressed by GaGa the whole time. I loved her already, but this tour made me love her even more and I didn't thought that was possible! Haha.
Then she walked onto the catwalk and I knew Telephone was coming. I was looking forward to that song sfm. Some girl first threw a Barbie on stage with her own designed bathing suit on or something and GaGa just put the Barbie's head in her mouth and when she pulled it out she rubbed it against her Vajayjay. Lmao she's so batshit crazy and I love her for it. Then she made a telephone of her hand and held it against her ear and said "Hello?" in her sweet innocent way and the WHOLE audience went nuts! Then she grabbed a blue telephone just like she has in the clip off stage and she was like "Hello, Beyoncé?" and then Telephone started. Everybody started dancing like cray cray! It was awesome. In this song you could here a bit that singing and dancing didn't really go well together but just for the beginning and then she had her awesome voice again! Insane!

After Telephone the decor changed again and we found GaGa back behind the piano (which had fire coming out of it). I just knew this was going to be emotional for me because I always love her acoustic performances, and she often gets emotional too and that just hits me. I especially was afraid for Speechless because that song is just beautiful to me. She started off with Brown Eyes, which was really beautiful.
Through a Dutch GaGa fansite we made a fan-action with just simple white hearts which said GaGa Love and we made the appointment to all hold them up when she was doing her first song behind the piano so she would have the time to see (and maybe respond) to it. She saw it during the song and she asked "what do they say?" and then she ran away from the piano, to the hearts in the front row, read what they said and made a heart with her own hearts. When she sat back at the piano you could clearly see she was touched by it, her eyes were teary. I teared up then too. She did the most awesome belts I've ever heard, stopped the song for a while and said:
"I hold my heart way above my head for you forever, because I love you so much and those signs are so beautiful. They shouldn't say GaGa love, they should say love yourself, don't worry about loving me, just fucking love yourself, because you're so perfect."
Tears down my face. Seriously. Look, you've got artists saying that they love their audiences all the time etc, but this was SO heartfelt. You've just got to watch the youtube video for it to understand. But it was so honest and true, I love her.
At that point she started talking about the concert she did that day before, in New York, with Sting, Bruce Springsteen, Elton John, etc.. And I started screaming because I KNEW she was going to do Stand By Me. First time on her Monster Ball Tour, so I felt really lucky! Lol. It was improvisation though because she had to tell the band in what key she was playing haha and said "let's just go for it". It was soo beautiful! This is one of my favourite songs in the world you see so this was really special to me.

After this song she told us she just heard backstage how many European Awards she had won and she couldn't tell us yet how many because it hadn't happened yet (lol), but she said "let's just say this is for you guys", and then she sang Speechless. It was so, so beautiful. She stopped somewhere in the middle as she always does with that song and starts talking, and this time it was about the plane crash that happened recently in Tipoli. I believe around 60 Dutch people died in that crash and it touched our country deeply. It surprised me that GaGa even knew it, because I heard it wasn't really news in the USA. She said this about it, and this really got me bawling;
"I don't mean to be a.. I know everybody's having a good time, but I heard there was a very big tragedy the other day here in Holland, that a plane crashed and there was only 1 survivor.. Just one young eight year old boy. So tonight, let's put our hands up and hold eachothers hand, and let's pray for all those families, have a moment for all those familied who lost somebody.. Remember how important it is to tell those you love how much you love them. And I love you little monsters, I love you. You make my plane fly everyday. So lets sing that they can hear us up in heaven okay?"

And EVERYBODY holded eachothers hands, and sang along, sometimes without GaGa so that you could even hear it better, to Speechless. Imagine 25.000 people singing, in a really fragile way, thinking of all the lost ones, at the same time. It was just só, so beautiful and so touching. I'll never witness something like it again.

After the acoustic set she walked to the catwalk again and got trapped in the "twister". When she came out she had the most wonderful dress on, I knew it from other vids, she called it the "living dress" because it moved. At that point the stage went into the air too and she was just like a fucking angel. She sang So Happy I Could Die and I never liked that song until then. It was great! And really you barely see GaGa smiling in pictures etc but during the Monster Ball show she was just smiling althrough, you could see so well how she enjoyed every second of it and really loved all the attention of the audience and so on. It was wonderful, she has a gorgeous smile!

Then she did Monster, and she had this black suit on with blood on her body so I knew Alejandro and Teeth were up to come too and I love those songs so much so I was excited again! Haha. Really, GaGa makes an awesome show. The storyline, the decor changing, the costume changing, the dancing and ofcourse her incredible voice.. Never saw anything like it!

Teeth was fucking awesome, it has been my jam for a while and I looooooved the choreography. It was Jennifer's favorite song (and mine too but it changes all the time) so we danced our pants off! Awesome! She also came really close again and asked us to show our teeth, so we raised our monster paws and showed our teeth and nobody around us really responded lol and I could swear she smiled at us! Somewhere between (or before) these songs with this outfit she also laid down on the ground (I think after teeth) and said that she was like Tinker Bell, that she would die if we didn't scream for her. "DO YOU WANT ME TO DIE?" she screamed and everybody started yelling and clapping like crazy. <3

After Teeth she started off with these awesome belts for Alejandro. I liked the song already, but I LOVED it live. It was a lot more dramatic. I loved her over dramatic "I know that we are young, and I know that you may love me.." lol. The fountain of blood was awesome too, it will appear in her music video too I believe. I'm dying for the video, btw. Haha. But her voice was on fire in this song and I loved it! She also wrote Holland in the (fake) blood on her arm haha, I luh her.

Then she changed outfit again and came back in this cute green origami dress which I ADORED, and sung Poker Face. I always party on this song and EVERYBODY went wild, it was amazing! She walked on the catwalk that time a lot tho so we didn't get a real good picture of her in that dress but anyways, we were to busy dancing after all!

Then Paparazzi came on and this huge scary Monster appeared on stage. It was attacking GaGa and we had to take pictures to make it blind, haha. It was epic. The dancers made the thing move and it really scared me lol, poor GaGa. After Paparazzi she disappeared off stage, and everybody ofcourse started shouting "we want more!"..

And we got more! She came back in this round cage which turned around her, singing the "wohohooo" of Bad Romance. It was so beautiful to hear the whole audience singing along so loudly! She shouted "we did it monsters, we made it to the monster ball!" and then Bad Romance started!

I felt quite sad when she said "we have one minute left.. SING MONSTERS!" but it was the best concert I've ever witnessed. It included everything. A lot of emotion, partying, show.. It was epic. I'm excited for Saturday because I'll be getting my new tickets then and I hope I'll be able to get good ones. GaGa was so loving to us, I never thought you could give your fans so much love. She was talking and smiling to us all the way through and it was wonderful. Writing this, I cry about it again, because it was just an awesome experience and I'm so blessed to have seen this.

After Telephone the decor changed again and we found GaGa back behind the piano (which had fire coming out of it). I just knew this was going to be emotional for me because I always love her acoustic performances, and she often gets emotional too and that just hits me. I especially was afraid for Speechless because that song is just beautiful to me. She started off with Brown Eyes, which was really beautiful.
Through a Dutch GaGa fansite we made a fan-action with just simple white hearts which said GaGa Love and we made the appointment to all hold them up when she was doing her first song behind the piano so she would have the time to see (and maybe respond) to it. She saw it during the song and she asked "what do they say?" and then she ran away from the piano, to the hearts in the front row, read what they said and made a heart with her own hearts. When she sat back at the piano you could clearly see she was touched by it, her eyes were teary. I teared up then too. She did the most awesome belts I've ever heard, stopped the song for a while and said:
"I hold my heart way above my head for you forever, because I love you so much and those signs are so beautiful. They shouldn't say GaGa love, they should say love yourself, don't worry about loving me, just fucking love yourself, because you're so perfect."
Tears down my face. Seriously. Look, you've got artists saying that they love their audiences all the time etc, but this was SO heartfelt. You've just got to watch the youtube video for it to understand. But it was so honest and true, I love her.
At that point she started talking about the concert she did that day before, in New York, with Sting, Bruce Springsteen, Elton John, etc.. And I started screaming because I KNEW she was going to do Stand By Me. First time on her Monster Ball Tour, so I felt really lucky! Lol. It was improvisation though because she had to tell the band in what key she was playing haha and said "let's just go for it". It was soo beautiful! This is one of my favourite songs in the world you see so this was really special to me.

After this song she told us she just heard backstage how many European Awards she had won and she couldn't tell us yet how many because it hadn't happened yet (lol), but she said "let's just say this is for you guys", and then she sang Speechless. It was so, so beautiful. She stopped somewhere in the middle as she always does with that song and starts talking, and this time it was about the plane crash that happened recently in Tipoli. I believe around 60 Dutch people died in that crash and it touched our country deeply. It surprised me that GaGa even knew it, because I heard it wasn't really news in the USA. She said this about it, and this really got me bawling;
"I don't mean to be a.. I know everybody's having a good time, but I heard there was a very big tragedy the other day here in Holland, that a plane crashed and there was only 1 survivor.. Just one young eight year old boy. So tonight, let's put our hands up and hold eachothers hand, and let's pray for all those families, have a moment for all those familied who lost somebody.. Remember how important it is to tell those you love how much you love them. And I love you little monsters, I love you. You make my plane fly everyday. So lets sing that they can hear us up in heaven okay?"

And EVERYBODY holded eachothers hands, and sang along, sometimes without GaGa so that you could even hear it better, to Speechless. Imagine 25.000 people singing, in a really fragile way, thinking of all the lost ones, at the same time. It was just só, so beautiful and so touching. I'll never witness something like it again.

After the acoustic set she walked to the catwalk again and got trapped in the "twister". When she came out she had the most wonderful dress on, I knew it from other vids, she called it the "living dress" because it moved. At that point the stage went into the air too and she was just like a fucking angel. She sang So Happy I Could Die and I never liked that song until then. It was great! And really you barely see GaGa smiling in pictures etc but during the Monster Ball show she was just smiling althrough, you could see so well how she enjoyed every second of it and really loved all the attention of the audience and so on. It was wonderful, she has a gorgeous smile!

Then she did Monster, and she had this black suit on with blood on her body so I knew Alejandro and Teeth were up to come too and I love those songs so much so I was excited again! Haha. Really, GaGa makes an awesome show. The storyline, the decor changing, the costume changing, the dancing and ofcourse her incredible voice.. Never saw anything like it!

Teeth was fucking awesome, it has been my jam for a while and I looooooved the choreography. It was Jennifer's favorite song (and mine too but it changes all the time) so we danced our pants off! Awesome! She also came really close again and asked us to show our teeth, so we raised our monster paws and showed our teeth and nobody around us really responded lol and I could swear she smiled at us! Somewhere between (or before) these songs with this outfit she also laid down on the ground (I think after teeth) and said that she was like Tinker Bell, that she would die if we didn't scream for her. "DO YOU WANT ME TO DIE?" she screamed and everybody started yelling and clapping like crazy. <3

After Teeth she started off with these awesome belts for Alejandro. I liked the song already, but I LOVED it live. It was a lot more dramatic. I loved her over dramatic "I know that we are young, and I know that you may love me.." lol. The fountain of blood was awesome too, it will appear in her music video too I believe. I'm dying for the video, btw. Haha. But her voice was on fire in this song and I loved it! She also wrote Holland in the (fake) blood on her arm haha, I luh her.

Then she changed outfit again and came back in this cute green origami dress which I ADORED, and sung Poker Face. I always party on this song and EVERYBODY went wild, it was amazing! She walked on the catwalk that time a lot tho so we didn't get a real good picture of her in that dress but anyways, we were to busy dancing after all!

Then Paparazzi came on and this huge scary Monster appeared on stage. It was attacking GaGa and we had to take pictures to make it blind, haha. It was epic. The dancers made the thing move and it really scared me lol, poor GaGa. After Paparazzi she disappeared off stage, and everybody ofcourse started shouting "we want more!"..

And we got more! She came back in this round cage which turned around her, singing the "wohohooo" of Bad Romance. It was so beautiful to hear the whole audience singing along so loudly! She shouted "we did it monsters, we made it to the monster ball!" and then Bad Romance started!

I felt quite sad when she said "we have one minute left.. SING MONSTERS!" but it was the best concert I've ever witnessed. It included everything. A lot of emotion, partying, show.. It was epic. I'm excited for Saturday because I'll be getting my new tickets then and I hope I'll be able to get good ones. GaGa was so loving to us, I never thought you could give your fans so much love. She was talking and smiling to us all the way through and it was wonderful. Writing this, I cry about it again, because it was just an awesome experience and I'm so blessed to have seen this.
