Random radomness...
It's very very slow at work today.
The weather is outside is great, people are walking around in shorts and t-shirts (it's only about +10C, but we've had snow since October, so anything seems like beach weather). Unfortunately, it also means no one is paying attention while driving. I was nearly hit by two inattentive drivers on my way into work today (not to mention all the cyclists you have to watch out for), and I've heard the emergency response team wail by 3 times today. Seriously, the first day of spring-like weather, and people go ga-ga.
Because they're out wrecking havoc on the roads, they're not calling into work. I wouldn't mind, except that it's so brain-numbingly dull being stuck at a desk and not having any busy-work to keep one busy.
I also stayed up last night and watched Clash of the Titans. I remember when this film came out and I loved it; watching it last night, I was forced to concede that while it's still a good film, the effects are certainly dated. And then it struck me -- they keep on remaking everything else that doesn't need to be touched, why not this film? And then I found this in the Wikipedia entry for the film.
I know I asked for it. But seriously, why can't they find a good director for this project? The old film deserves no less since they've decided to go ahead.
The CGI version of Gatchaman has also been delayed until 2010, which also makes me unhappy. I guess it's just not my year for films.
In good news, ubernerd09 and I will be going to the Doors Open Toronto event in May, on the Saturday. Very excited!
Anyone else stuck indoors?
