It's already pretty well known, but I will finally make it official in this journal.
I HAVE A BEAUTIFUL BABY GIRL!
Her name is Jodriana Lynn. She was born June 25th and weighed in at a whopping 6lbs 12oz. She was twenty inches long at birth and her head was 13 inches in circumference. (It's no wonder the whole labor and delivery bit is such a painful experience. . . )
She's five weeks old, and already getting sooo big! She's already too long to fit into 0-3 month clothing. Jodriana also really loves music. You have no idea how happy that makes both her father and I. Many times all we have to do to calm her down is start singing or turn on the radio or any other music making device.
In a slightly related note, breastfeeding is both harder than I expected but easier than I feared. Thankfully my nipples are getting used to the whole process because those first couple of weeks: OUCH! I'm not ready to contemplate the possibility that I might still be breastfeeding once she has teeth. *shudder*
Josh is starting to get excited about another matter. In about one more week I'll be cleared for all sorts of activities, assuming my check up is all good. Despite a baby's complimentary "Intimacy Alarm" it is still really hard to be good and wait the required amount of time. I WANT MY HUSBAND DAMMIT! Unfortunately for him I also come hard wired with self control. Unfortunate for me too I suppose. *attempts to flip self control switch off* *fails miserably*
That's all I'll write for now.
