“Tell me where his hideout is,” he repeated, and with a thud, embedded his hook into the wall behind her for emphasis.
She jumped, cried, “I don’t know.”
He was pressed against her now, holding one arm above her head. Jerking his hook free of the wall, he ran the tip of it lightly across her throat, down, until it caught in the fabric of her dress. “I think you do,” he whispered close to her, and with a slash his hook tore through her bodice.
She gasped, fought against him, but it was no use. He had her pinned.
