God Bless Publix
Dear God,
Thank you for making Publix, where shopping is a pleasure, for they make Limited Edition Ice Cream better than Edy's or Breyers ever could. Their Egg Nog flavor ice cream was smooth and creamy and perfect. And now there is Red Velvet Cake. In my time of distress, this wonderful ice cream has put hope in my soul. May Red Velvet Cake become one of their staple flavors.

Anyway, so I got home yesterday and immedately heard water dripping in my pipes when nothing was running. I thought, then, that maybe it had something to do with my neighbor's toilet running, accept they werent home. So I ran to Chili's to get dinner to bring home; the neighbors still weren't home. Finally when they were home after 10pm I asked if I could hear their water heater; no noise in their house. So then I'm all frantic, trying to call my parents who can't really help me because they are in another state, walking down to neighbors who I know have lived here for longer than I have, but none of them know how I can turn off the water to my house. I called KUA and they said they can't come out to help me since it is an inside problem, but they couldn't tell me where my water valve was either; it wasn't with the meter like they said it should be. So, last resort, I called Roto Router (thanks to advertisement from Ghost Hunters and using them in the past--I have always had amazing service from them). The guy, Thomas, was really good with my dog-she didn't want him to leave- and he explained step by step what he was doing, why things went wrong...but it still cost me $224. He said the thermostat was busted so he replaced it and told me that if the noise started up again, something else was wrong with the wiring of the unit. And guess what I heard this morning after waking up just 6 hours after he changed the thermostat...Yep. So now I have to miss a day of work (which I never do unless I have no voice) to probably have to run to Lowes and purchase a new water heater. YEAH for spending more money when I don't have a roommate to help pay for the bills!
But, I'm sure everything will work out.
