karma_apple has insisted on an update, and so you'll get one. :) Reasons for not updating: first I was busy doing nothing and lazy, then I was overwhelmed with junk and lazy. Yeah... Blacker rhymes with slacker!
School started three weeks ago. Somehow during the summer I didn't remember how painful Tech is can be. Maybe it's like childbearing, where mothers supposedly don't remember the pain and that's the only reason they have more children?
The first week is rotation, the week that frosh eat dinner at the different houses and socialize. We get to know them, they get to know the house, etc. It took up a lot of time when I was a frosh, but I didn't realize it took up so much time as an upperclassman too.
Second week of term: Frosh Plague! (Everyone who didn't get it second week is starting to come down with it now.) I took an extension on my first homework set. I should really know better. Needless to say, it never got done, but I managed to stay busy and sick and pretty miserable.
Third week: SURF (the research thingie I did this summer) presentations were today, so I spent all week angsting over it but not doing anything. But now it's all over and I am HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY!
So now that I've told you all the mundane details, here's the big news: Nathan and I are going out, as of Friday before term started (bad timing because the next few weeks were so busy, but oh well). Thinking of me dating is just weird, but... I really, really like him. *blush* We've even been on a date, which is apparently unusual at Tech. I'm sure I'll post more later.
