Tomorrow is my 20th birthday, this weekend is going to be awesome -- Casi, Steph, Jenny and Danny are coming up from Wisconsin, and we're having a flip cup tournament Saturday night at Seijen's house against the cross country boys. We will own them.
Also, AP finally said something today to her boss at the Language Center about our ideas for the program we want to do next fall in Italy. She thought it was a fabulous idea, sent Ashley to talk to this other important guy who said we needed to talk to .... Kathy. Haha yea, who would have thought? So AP is going to email her about this whole deal, and see what she thinks, whether she wants to do something like this to try and get students more involved in the Italian program from the beginning. Basically, we want to create a website/forum where we can post videos and pictures of our daily life in Italy, and have a place where students can ask questions, etc. But, the details are very much still up in the air - whether they want to do a lesson plan that follows along with the book (like, this is an italian market, this is how you ride public transportation in Italy, this is how you look for an apartment), or more of a documentary style view of "this is what its like to study abroad", or who knows? I hope this goes somewhere, because I'd love to do something like this, and it'd be a great way to get more students involved and interested in the Italian program AND get the Italian department more technologically interactive. So we'll see. I'll let you know.
