last night was a wtf night
but in an excellent way
we drank vodka and hot chocolate, not bad, and watched sex and the city for a little while. then we spent a good deal of time changing outftits and went to the purple rain party. as expected, it was excellent. i don't think they played any prince, though. this time they played music videos of the songs. there was a lot of britney, a good deal of 90s boy bands, and lady marmalade. everyone gets really into their lip synching/dance moves, especially when a song like lady marmalade comes on. we stayed until the end of the party, then marika and i parted ways, but we would be reunited again. i went to hang out with laura who was working at the bookstore. the bookstore closes at 3 on the weekends because it's the closest place to buy a lot of food. so i was there until 3, talking to laura and talking to a guy in my hum conference. i got to sit behind the counter and pretend like i worked at the bookstore, and whenever anyone bought food i asked if i could have some. everyone was very nice about it. i walked home with guy from my hum conference and we talked for a while outside his dorm, then i decided i would be brave and try to get home through the canyon without being on a trail, which was stupid and i almost fell and died. but then i got back on a path and walked the long way home, lame.
today i'm working on my sappho paper. you know how i love the lesbian poetry.
if anyone ever comes to visit me, we mustmustmust go to a dt5mil party. that's the club that threw the bowie party, and the purple rain party, and i have to say they throw the best parties i've ever been to. seriously. it's what i've been yearning for in a party my whole life. honnie, let's go and let's boogie.
