haha! 7 to 8.
the night roared through our lonely minds.
the stars shined in a freezing sky
and the clock's numbers kept changing.
familiar songs, a familiar face,
the roads, the happy tones, the smiles
these were somewhat new.
i couldn't bring myself to tell you, when you asked,
how you used to be, how you used to feel.
roll down the windows, let it the cold air
its almost new years, almost a new year.
a new year for mistakes, a new year for cleaning up.
'i don't want you to go home. i don't want this night to end'
this year's been so weird, hopefully next will be just as much so.
winter will be coming soon.. hopefully, and then spring
when everything shuts down and people cannot seem to speak
when sparks fly for a moment, then fall softly to the ground.
then the summer will come, a strange time in itself.
and fall.. senior year, it seems so weird..
but if we have these people, those we cannot live without,
i'd probably say three outside my family..
if i have these people.. the new year can come and i won't be afraid.
