.....woke up from an extended nightmare.
Was in an abandoned building. Darkness. Smoke. Soot.
Can't find my way out.
Cops that don't talk.
Can't breathe.
Try to run out an exit that ends up terminating in a 50-story drop.
Look out over the edge and see things falling upward, though for some reason everything that
includes me, also includes gravity proper. Feel a force pull me downwards.
Slam door, run inside across rickety floorboard. Barely miss giant cackling dog-beast in floor hole.
Slam into group of silent cops calling me by names I do not know. They know me.
Running down endless halls, covered in soot, breathing in tar-thick air.
Run past Chinese miners.
Wake up unable to breathe.

I have a theory that dreams have odd power and put you in another body but for a few minutes.
Nightmares in particular.
No idea as to what dimension the bodies reside in.
One which is full of flying lips, big scary gorillas, and an endless supply of chocolate (except it all tastes like herring.....so that's bad).

I don't usually eat before bed, either.
Stuffed chicken + Jack Daniels x Unexpectedly Open Bedroom Vents = Crazy dreams about endless buildings.

Sometimes I slightly resent having to get the bus to Toronto. But only when it's for something
tiny, like a couple dozen 1/4" jacks. Gives me time to go exploring, tho. One of the big
reasons I moved here in the first place was a change of scenery. In T Bay, everything was the same. I'd seen it.
Here, I can find a new place to check out every time I'm out and about.
That, and since I don't make it into the city too often, most neighbourhoods change sufficiently in the 2 or so months I've not been.
Purpose today is to hit Active Surplus for the filthy little jacks (possibly some giant novelty switches or something.), and then bugger off to Church St. to see what's new in the pawn shops (haven't been in those since sometime in the summer). After that, kill time until 8.
