LIFE UPDATE.
Yes. This is my actual update on my life since my last update.
So. Let's see. I'll type things up as I remember them.
I FINALLY gave Cara her birthday present. We went to Panera Bread where I ate this really yummy Creamy Chicken and Wild Rice soup. Oh, it was so good. And the bread was really yummy, too. After Panera Bread, we decided to go walk to Ross. We found lots of cute shirts.. but a lot of them were backless. Then we played with .. things. I don't really know what they were. But, this one little chicken did have some Captain in him! Anyways, after that we headed to Target for Starbucks, but since it was closed we headed for the over one. Cara introduced me to the deliciousness of Chai Tea. Ohhh, it was so yummy. Then we walked around some more, called Mr. Chavis, and Cara wanted to go into Smoothie King. There she introduced me to the strawberry and banana smoothie, which also tasted pretty good. So much food.. yummy yummy yummy. Afterwards, we headed to Taco Cabana to sit outside and we talked and waited for our rides, which conveniently arrived at the same time.
On July 11th, Bryan, Lauren, and I went to see the Order of the Phoenix. I typed up a whole bunch of thoughts somewhere else, but seeing as how it looks like my comment got deleted or something and I can't just copy and paste what I wrote, I'm going to be lazy and leave my thoughts out. Mainly because I don't remember what all I liked/didn't like. I'd have to watch the movie again. :/
NEVERMIND! FOUND THEM! Here are my thoughts on the movie:
"So, even though I sat there for a little over two hours, I felt like the movie flew by. It felt like I sat there for maybe 45 minutes, because everything happened so fast. I was SO mad when they didn't show Snape's graying underpants, or really show how Harry realized his father really was a bit of a jerk and how his mom totally didn't approve. Probably was a time constraint.. but still, it would've been nice. Sirius' death happened WAY too fast. It got no reaction out of me whatsoever except for "Wait, what? He's already dead? Wow, that was quick.." I really feel they should've spent more time with it. Umbridge and Bellatrix were played beautifully, as well as Luna. It was just how I imagined them. The end with Dumbledore and Harry I totally didn't buy. I wanted to see some office trashing, and a bit more explanation might've been nice. The fight between Voldemort and Dumbledore? I wasn't impressed. It wasn't really how I imagined it being. It was good, I suppose, but I wasn't very impressed by it. Also, I imagined Azakaban as being more of a rundown castle on an island, but their interpretation was interesting. I really wanted a St. Mungo's scene. I like how the book portrayed the trio finding out about Neville's parents and I wish they had done it the same way in the movie. Harry's "I must not tell lies" comment was perfect, though. I really enjoyed it."
I hung out at Alexa's house on the 17th. We ate gumbo and it was yummy. We also watched some television shows that I don't really remember the names of. I think one was called the Spelling Bee? Yeah, I don't remember!
Then July 18th was Alexa's birthday. I got to her house around two. We ate peek-a-boo eggs. That was a first for me. Then her mom brought home McDonald's and I ate a Spicy Chicken Sandwich. Another first. Then we just hung out and waited for her grandmother to get home so we could open presents. But, before presents we had rice and gravy! YUM! Then we opened presents and Alexa got a LOT of turtle things, including a turtle build-a-bear and turtle socks from me. :] Then there was cake and ice cream, and I ended up spending the night. To really view all of the crazy things we did, go look at the pictures on Facebook. :]
Then the midnight release of Deathly Hallows! I went to Borders where I saw lots of people I knew like Stephanie Matson and Cara. I also dressed up as a Dementor. (I'll be uploading some pictures to Facebook after this post.) I got lots of raffle tickets for having an awesome costume. Bryan was embarrassed by my costume, though, or at least I think he was, because he spent more time avoiding me than he did talking to me! Oh well. I like being a nerd. Anyways. I got my face painted, but I ended up picking it all off while waiting in line for my book. Whoops! Then, obviously, I got my book and my thoughts on Deathly Hallows are posted in the entry just below this one. Also, I am now the proud owner of a super cool Harry Potter poster which is now hanging above my bookshelf. :]
Otherwise for that, my summer has still been the same old boring summer. I've just been reading a lot of books. I started the Sloppy Firsts series, which I'm borrowing from Alexa. First of all, let me just say that I remembered who said they liked that book and y'all are a bunch of PERVERTS. Oh my god, all that book talked was sex! It was a good book, and I finished it pretty quickly, but jeez. I'm starting to wonder about some of you... maybe you're not as innocent as I once thought.
Anyways. That's my July. I hope I didn't forget anything.
No, I haven't touched the bass clarinet. No, I still don't know how to play it. I wish people would stop asking.
No, my music isn't memorized. But whose is?
Band is definitely the last thing on my mind right now.
Which reminds me! Why is it that most of my band friends pretty much only ever want to talk about band? You don't have enough of a life to talk about something else? ANYTHING else? Look, until marching season starts, I DO NOT want to talk about band 24/7. If you're going to strike up a conversation with me, please dear lord talk about something else. I am so sick of talking about band my head feels like it's going to explode. I DON'T CARE WHAT YOU HAVE TO SAY ABOUT BAND. I DON'T CARE WHAT YOU THINK ABOUT THIS UPCOMING MARCHING SEASON. I just want you to shut your trap and go away and talk about something else. Or, GET A LIFE. Then maybe you'll talk about something other than band.
Most of you, thankfully, haven't talked to me about band not once this whole summer. For that, I sincerely thank you.
