The Paradox of Cats
If you are awake the damn creatures are asleep or want nothing to do with you; quiet as mice. The moment you lay down, close your eyes, or have any pretense of not giving their highnesses the utmost amount of attention they want to be all over you. This morning I had to get up to pee and then Sadie was just like "screw you, you are not going back to sleep" so now I'm awake. It's 9:30, I've been up for an hour already which means I've probably got five to six hours of sleep and I have to close tonight. It's ad take-down tonight so we stay until 11; however, at least I don't have to stay for scan-in which is infinitely more annoying. It might be a Venti Starbucks night. At the moment I'm not really sure if I should have a cup of coffee or try and take a nap. Amanda and I are hitting the gym later so sleep seems like the idea, but maybe I'll wait and let the gym wear me out and then sleep until I have to go to work.
At the moment I don't think I have a whole lot to add. I haven't really done anything super exciting since last I blogged. I played through Portal which was super fun even if it was quick (I need to download the bonus levels I think, but that will have to wait, soooon). Anyway, it came on this disc that has a compilation of games so now I'm playing Half-Life 2 which is a first person shooter, but the story seems interesting so I'm willing to give it a chance. I was able to cheat and update my Xbox so it would accept one of my flash drives as alternate memory so while my system is basically full from the update I have 7 gigs of extra space not to mention I transferred everything important to the flash drive so in the even I replace my Xbox with the newer version (I fear the red ring of death if nothing else; however, I think for now I'm safe) then I won't have to worry about losing anything. I just wish Xbox360 games (the same goes for Wii and PS3 as we all know) weren't so freaking expensive. I mean srsly 60 bucks for some? 40 dollars if you're lucky? Or if you're really lucky and got some Black Friday deals Fable III for like 20-some. I still really want Force Unleashed 2, but I'm not dying to have it. I'd definitely rather save my monies for say Arkham City and Portal 2 and so on and so forth. Maybe my tax return will smile upon me. We shall see.
It seems I will finally be able to buy ComicCon tix FEBRUARY 5'TH OMG I MIGHT NOT DIE OF OLD AGE AFTERALL! I'm not going to hold my breath tho. This is like what...the fourth re-try for this?
Oh, speaking of the 5'th on the 6'th Amanda and I are going to see David Garret in concert, he's basically sex playing sex on the violin. I am soooo excited. Not to mention it's a chance to dress up and look cute which is always fun and exciting. Aw, Noxie is looking as tired as I feel right now.
