Livening up the F-list
Today was a boring day on the friends page. Of course Amanda's would be made more interesting if I had wireless net, which I do not (alas). In any case I decided to post so there would be something of substance. It may be rambling and therefore not that substantial, but I shall try my best to be entertaining.
I spent most of my day at my Mom's house which was loads of fun. I forget how much I always have down there. I think I stay away because if I'm away then I can forget how much I miss it. I mean if I was down there more I would miss it less of course, but most of the time life doesn't work out that well. Anyway we watched Help! and mom made gumbo, which was yummy. If I had been less sick I would have enjoyed it more. My head has just been killing me for the last two days. Sinuses are the worst, and if anybody doubts the veracity of my sickness Michael can vouch for it he told me I sounded stuffy. How would he know this you may ask? Well I did what I've been threatening to do for three months and got my hair cut, and ironically I hadn't been sitting waiting for my turn for five minutes and in walks Michael. It was apparently a day for coincidence because when I went down to my moms house I had yet to eat lunch, and so I asked her if she had anything. She had leftover chilli from dinner the day before which is precisely what I had for dinner the day before at my grandmother's house. See coinsidences everywhere. What the odds? (My stat teacher's favorite question almost.)
Anyway it was mostly a day of talking and hanging out. I saw Kevin too when my sister and I ended up going to Wal-Mart and getting pringles. I berated him for never being online. He complained that no one was ever on, and I berated him for making excuses and told him he had better get on in the near future. He said he checks the blog occassionally and so Kevin if you're reading this you had better be online sometime in the near future *stares down* you know the great Amanda compells you!
Moving on...
I didn't really do anything else of interest today. Though I couple days back I did finally sit down and read all of the Dark Tower comics. (They've published them all in this nice little hardback edition, it was quite nice and 40% off at Waldenbooks), and now its laying horizontally on top of my recently completed Dark Tower series. It was too tall to fit on the shelf. So close and yet so far, alas.
I can't believe no one is online. I think Amanda's at work, but like everyone else has vanished. It's like if I'm not on at the start of the day nobody else is on for the rest of the day. Just my luck I suppose.
My parents were asking me about Christmas, and I like listed off a bunch of tv shows on dvd I wanted and they were like 'That's it? You're really easy you know.' I was like "It's true." So I suppose I should be thinking up something more grand. Maybe I'll post an official list up on Myspace. I'll be like 'here is what I want, pick and choose!' my mom was like 'What about a Barnes and Noble giftcard?' and I was like 'omg yes give me!!!'. I am so geektacular sometimes.
Speaking of geeking, I should really read chapters 5 and 6 of Slaughterhouse-5 tomorrow, rather than like two hours before class. Hopefully over break she won't be like 'read the rest of the book' though I like it so far, better than some of the other stuff we've read. I mean what we've read is good, but good in the Dracula way or the very intellectual way. I was going to do some room cleaning this weekend, but I'm betting that isn't going to happen. I feel too sick and therefore too lazy to do so. I got up this morning and I was like 'oh yeah I kinda feel better' and like 3 hours later I was like 'I think I should go back to bed now kthx'.
Hmmm...what else, what else? I can't really think of anything else. I wish I had a new game to play. I haven't had anything since The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. Right now I'm re-playing Kingdom Hearts II. It's fun, but a little variety never hurt anyone. I would like to play more Starfox, but there is this one part I just can't get past. I don't know why I can't press the damn button fast enough, but everytime I get super close and I think I'm going to make it, no. The computer bounces back and trounces me. I'm just like 'screw this', and it's not like I'm doing anything wrong it's just that freakin' retarded.
I want to make a new layout. I should do a Super Mario themed one sometime in the future. That would be made of win, and that means it would turn out another color than *gasp* blue! lol. I need to redo the entire layout though, I'm getting tired of the way its laid out as well. It bores me now. I should also do a Sherlock themed layout, that would also be amazing.
