Here. Dealing with the federal shutdown. Mark's a contractor in a federal building, so he was home all last week. He worked some from home, and then got hit with the cold we all had, so he was on sick leave for part of the week. Then last night at 9, out of the blue, they called and told him to come into work today. So he went into work at normal time, worked for 3 hours, then suddenly everybody was told to go home. Apparently someone couldn't decide if Mark's office was going to be considered "essential" or not. So Mark came home at 9:30 this morning. Then around 2 he got a phone call saying that he is supposed to come into work tomorrow. Can you say roller coaster?! We've really been through the ringer on this one. Hopefully they get this straightened out, and soon. We have a lot of friends living paycheck to paycheck, and this is getting scary for them. We're luckier than many, and I'm trying to remember that.
The stress is doing crazy things to AF. Due to the blood clotting disorder, I'm off the Pill. My cycles are usually 28 days but this last month was only 20, and my current cycle is completely out of whack. I have EWCM on Day 8 (usually I don't see any until Day 11), which is highly concerning due to the fact that we DTD, unprotected, not too long before that. Ugh. I love when my body completely screws me. So we're playing the waiting game for the next 20 or so days. Yuck.
Kids are whacked out by the change in Dad's schedule too. He was unexpectedly home for a week, then when they got used to that, he was gone again. This day-to-day decision- making isn't easy for them to understand.
So it's been fun here!
