(no subject)
i am bleeding tears from my fingertips.
my sideblog has been getting a lot of followers which makes it difficult to rant about this fic (amazing cool beautiful followers but followers nonetheless *gnaws knuckle*). i am getting so off-course with the /jazzy hands/ drama and fucked-up downward spiral that is my oc. like. why isn't anybody yelling at me for this?? it could've been way more awesome if ridiculous things happened, right? like chapter one ridiculous. i want to keep humor in but is it out of place?? idk
but i mean
i've had these big images of what was going to happen during the cat's eye arc, and they were from when i was thirteen years old. the thing with the coffin, killing khanwari = all planned. four fucking years ago. for the cool symbolism and shit. i really hate myself right now
there were so many characters i was gonna add in, but i've had to hack and slash them from the story (with some glee, i might add, because i'm finally learning). i also need more introspection. that's going to be a thing from now on.
LAW I WANT YOU TO BE LIKEABLE BUT YOU'RE REALLY NOT LIKEABLE AT ALL (we'll see how the manga goes tho)
law positives (that are actually negatives):
- too fucking intelligent
- HAKI/DEVIL FRUIT/SWORD
- doesn't give two shits about people
- i have a really hard time judging if he's too bored to show emotion on his face/if his face is just like that/if he's just not amused
- switches between easygoing and murderous in five seconds flat like what the fuck control yourself boy
- possessive (?) augh i really hate the cliche possessive boyfrandu trope law somehow always lands himself in. except he would be possessive. but in a way that's extremely subtle and he'd totally treat you with respect so you wouldn't quite realize it. but it's definitely there. only you're not quite sure of it. but it's fucking there.
law negatives (that are actually positives, majority are headcanons):
- childish
- overestimates himself (i can see that being a thing)
- creepy grins
- fucking weird obsession w/ jolly roger
- really hates being told what to do, most cases he's politely sarcastic to get everyone else to fuck off (they don't) but if he needs to he can pull out the Mr. Charming card and fucking bedazzle the crowd
- not entirely sure with the whole 'being entranced by this interesting person' theme that comes up in a lot of oc fics. there definitely can be interest up to a certain point... and then he's gotta go do things sorry you're not very high on his priority list gotta fend for yourself now. his interests would be very strong but very, very transient, i feel. unless oc does something to prove their worth.
POST-TS LAW ALWAYS BUDGES IN WHEN I WANT TO WRITE PRE-TS LAW WHAT IS HAPPENING
i feel like before i started writing mnp, i thought he was a super cool and interesting character. now i want him in hipster glasses wearing a book for a hat and reading a science article with a magnifier glass while getting into the shower and forgetting he's in the shower.
