I find it really appropriate that I am taking arctic archaeology when it is this bloody FREEZING outside. I feel it is a great advantage to me because i can just pretend that I am in the arctic RIGHT NOW

I was always told that the fire inside the igloo would melt the inside walls a little bit, but then cause ice to form such that they hardned, and it actually reinforced the structure. Not true? I guess it's not really that believable... probably something a teacher told me who didn't know the answer.
Nice work with the colour commentary!
Yes. Some of them are...but we will hunt them down.
Ok first off I must correct you, and let you know that they are not called 'igloos' anymore...they are snow houses. I don't know who decides this stuff... But no. There is no evidence of open fires in said snow houses. They find rings outside of the dwellings, but not within them. I believe they use some sort of stone lantern. However, what you said about it causing condensation, that is true of the more typical mid-passage box hearth dwellings. The fire causes moisture on the inside which refreezes in a protective sheath once the fire is extinguished.
Anyways..thats what I learned today. Haha
And thank you for the listening to the game! It was an experience, to say the least.
And they certainly picked the wrong girl to mess with...they will regret the day they ever stepped into her room if one of us find them.
Thanks for the lesson. That class actually sounds kinda fun. At least you've learned some new stuff. It was cool to hear you doing the commentary. I enjoyed it. :)
We will do what we can. I'd just like to see them returned.

haha, thanks for listening! I like it when peole actually tell us they listen, because alot of the time we are pretty sure that we have no listeners...like when we announce that we are giving away 200 dollars worth of via rail passes and NO ONE phones.... Thats probably a bad sign..
