Since I know you love hearing about my day...
Since Nadeem's been taking the mornings off to "study" doc's been asking me to do more. The other day I got to give an injection or two. Today he asked me to do the PCV again because he had his gloves on, but he ended up doing it anyways (a lot harder to hit the vein on a cat vs. a 40lb dog, lol.), but I did read the PCV's and wrote them in the file.
What surprised me the most was when he asked me to go swab "Tuxedo" cats ears, get a slide and check under the microscope for mite :D In doing that I discovered that (a) there was a hematoma on the cats ear (b) no mites, just ear infection. Even more surprising was that afternoon during not one but two examinations doc handed me the slide he had made and told me to check 'em :D
Doc's son and his family are in town so Nargis has been in a good mood since her grandkids are here. The little girl is always running around in the back where the cats are, today she was asking me questions... while we were busy of course, lol. She's a cutie though.
We had a bunch of cats there today, 3 boarding (2 went home today), no wait, 4, got a new one. Declaw, neuter, and 3 other cats, 2 "pregnancies" one for ears and shots. One of the pregnant cats wasn't preggy, the other was actually a neutered male! Lmao. Had a dog come in late with a wound on its face/neck. The owner said the other dogs always pick on that one (so you allow this why...?), and the wound happened a month ago. Wtf!? She said it was deep, she had been putting peroxide & neosporin.... hmmm... my animal has a huge gash that probably needs stitches but fuck it! Lets put neosporin on it! People are unbelieveable.
Ok, there's the gist of my work day. Just wanted to post and letcha know I'm still here. Just been tired and busy. Last week we put a new stereo & speakers in the honda car. Been keeping an eye on Rew, he's doing awesome, goes in to the vet Friday for his check up. Oh, doc asked me to work tomorrow morning since were supposed to be busy. I'm gettin tired so I'm gonna go do a few more things online then go to sleeeeeeep.
