Today at work was good (I should actually say yesterday now, lol). It was my afternoon day, so 3 hrs.
Liz is really starting to piss me off. She was pretty bad in the begining, got a little better, and seems to be getting worse...
The dishes were in the sink since Saturday I think. I didn't have any time on Monday to do them... there was only 2 neuters today, I doubt there were that many walk-ins ::rolls eyes::.

Oreo still had the same food I gave him yesterday morning. I've been giving him wet and dry food since he didn't seem interested in the dry, yesterday morning I mixed them together to try to get him to eat the dry (he didn't)... this afternoon when I came in, when I had a chance to check on him, and it was the same food!!! Are you freakin kidding?? Your not supposed to leave wet food out for more than a few hours, much less over 24! So when I had another chance I gave him new dry food and new wet food, he ate some of the wet so yay :) I changed his water too, it didn't look like she had changed that either. And after I thought about it, she didn't clean his box either... there was not trash bag in the kennel trash. I'm not sure if he's been using it or not though, I guess I'll see when I go in today.
I know she moved him, but didn't give him fresh food/water hmph.

Alisa was saying she *hates* her lip piercing cuz she thinks it looks crusty, like she doesn't take good enough care of it. She also said you need to have cute lips to pull it off... something liz does not have.

Have I mentioned how many times I have come in in the afternoons to find the
neuter tools still sitting out in the tray? Bloody? Cat neuters are the first thing we do in the morning, so your telling me you don't see them sitting there during the next 3hrs? Frustrating.
She constantly leaves the syringes in the sink when she washes them, I have to tell Alisa when I get there since I was never taught what to do with them, and if Nargis sees them there omg.
Alisa was telling me yesterday how she didn't even start sweeping one morning and it was 1145 (we leave for lunch at 12 and everything needs to be swept and mopped.) Alisa asked about it and liz said she had to wash the blue mats (they go in the bottom of the cat cages so they're not sitting in their pee, ya know), Alisa was fine with that... until she was done sweeping and liz still wasn't done washing them... there were only 4. That should only take about 5 mins.

I've only told doc and nadeem about one of her fuck ups (not feeding the boarding dogs what/how the owners wanted & not giving the meds to one of those dogs... grr.) I'm reluctant to mention her slip ups usually, I know I fucked up at one point, and I certainly wouldn't have liked someone telling all my missteps. I try to give her the benefit of the doubt ("they must've been busy") but she's on my last freakin nerve. Next time she messes up like that I'm mentioning it to doc... she'll be lucky if I don't say something tomorrow since me and doc like to talk :)

It just really pisses me off when I find the neuter tools sitting there. They always used to tell me that they needed to be washed, so I know they probably tell her, wtf? (Maybe those are the days I don't find them, haha) It drives me crazy when she doesn't wash the needles we used for surgeries too. She can wash the instruments, the blades, but not the needles? It's a tiny little thing, not like it's that hard.

I hate her. I can tolerate her when she's around (luckily I only work with her 4hrs a week on Saturdays), frankly she's too nice not to tolerate, but I cannot stand her work.
She'll even come into the exam room when I'm already in there doing my job. (a) there shouldn't be 2 assistants in the room at the same time unless they're helping to restrain. (b) the room is waaaay too small for all of us to be in there.

So my day... lol.
Ummm parvo dog was not looking good today, poor pup :(
I held Oreo this afternoon and had Alisa give the Amox, went a little better.
There were some clients that pissed me off today. I was holding the dog for its shots, it turned and started trying to bite us so I grabbed its scruff to hold it. I tried to get it under control again... not happening. Doc grabbed a muzzle, the dog kept trying to bite. The owners and her kids started trying to help restrain it. Uh uh. So doc hands me the muzzle and takes the dog, one hand around the head the other holding around the throat trying to keep the dog still. still couldn't get the muzzle on. That's when the owner started complaining "do you have to hold her like that?" "don't choke her!!" WTF are we supposed to do when you can't even control your dog? After the dog squirted its anal glands, pooed a little, and scratched doctor the woman held the dog in her arms and one of the kids got the muzzle on. Doc told her to get a sedation tablet for next time the dog needs to come in.
Why do people freak out when their dog is out of control? We don't want to get bit by your dog. Your dog that doesn't have its rabies shot yet. Doesn't have its rabies shot b.c you 'lost' the vacc record and 'forgot' about the rest of the shots. Ugh.
People will complain about anything. They don't like the way we restrain them, hold them for TNTs, don't like the string muzzle we put on them... I always think its funny when they "can't be in the room" during a nail trim. Lmao. It's just nails!
*sigh* people are wierd.

And don't give me the BS about them "loving" their animals "sooo much". I love my animals as if they were my own children and I'm not even that overbearing or oversensitive.

Ok its waaaay late (early), I need to shower and try to get some sleep. I get to work all day :)
*muah*

work, liz sucks
