knee-jerk reactions
I have had them. In regards to what, you may ask? Let's see.. knee jerk reaction when someone says: This is how it could be. Knee jerk when someone mentions a mental health professional, or drugs (the legal kind), or behavioral issues. Or when someone says something that smacks of 'odd'.
I guess I could go into details, but speaking of personal and 'private' things, even in such an ambiguous venue, isn't easy for me. I've trusted people before, people who were supposed to be friends, and had them turn around and use what I've told them against me. Once bitten twice shy? Yeah, try 'bitten' four or five times. Life loves to pound the lessons into my thick skull.
At any rate, I think I'm going to make a few calls tonight. Just touch bases with some folks. Hope this post finds any who read it treading water and makeing ground.
