This is just a note for anyone randomly finding their way to my journal from a community I posted on or something. Hello! I'm Nicola (hence alocin). The 42 references the answer to life the universe and everything rather than my age. I'm from the UK and live in the South West - Bristol to be more precise. I (allegedly) work for the civil service, I ( Read more... )

Ooh - hello! So people do stumble across here now and then! Thank you very much for the allegations of greatness. ;)

Fivey is my favourite (as is probably evident from my posts in the comms and such, and a slight bias his way icon-wise) but I do have rather a soft spot for the ginger minx. He's so very good to icon too... I actually started out as a bit of a Five/Tegan fangirl but I've been steadily corrupted by the likes of uktechgirl into the realms of Five/Turlough! And as you say things like the slashy bit of Loups-Garoux only act as cannoical encouragement!

I love all Fivey's little ducklings really though. Well maybe not Adric... he's fine in very small doses. 1/2 teaspoon once a week perhaps. But the others are all lovely, and Fivey/Turlough/Tegan would have been just smashing. Nyssa would have had to have been off bathing lepers or whatever it was she decided to devote her life to by this point, and Peri not arrived yet. And it would have been glorious. If I encourage uktechgirl enough she might yet write it. Or that Five/Turlough crime-fighting detective agency idea she had...

uktechgirl corrupted me too. I actually joined LJ for Ten/Rose (back then I was a new who, lol). I listened to the Kingmaker Big Finish Audio because I'm doing a history assignment on Richard III, and loved it. Naturally, I wanted more, and it just led to a bit of Fivey Big Finish Obsession. Well, one thing led to another ;) and I found out about Turlough.

I can't say I'm a fan of Tegan, but seeing as I've already been converted once, and my lack of knowledge about Classic Who companions, I'm sure I could be persuaded.

I'm not actually sure why I like Five/Turlough the best.

Whatever the case, that crime-fighting detective agency idea sounds great. I take it you've read her Honey For Tea? I can't stop reading it. Or recommending it... :S

So... can I friend you?

I don't talk about Who that much in my own journal - it's just a lot of day-to-day rambling - but feel free to!

And yup Honey For Tea is one of my faves, although everything she writes rocks to an amazing degree!
