.  I had an interesting dialog with sheilagh about wand color.  She asked what color I would get.  I told her "Well, purple is always nice. Calling it a ZEN MASTER STIRWAND™ gives the wand an appeal to both my inner child and my egotistical adult."

She then pointed to a web page delineating the properties of the different colored wands.

I then asked "But are the wands REALLY different? Or is it just sales hype?"

She sutgested I ask Daddy Bob.

I did so.  His reply is below.

No $$ for any wands right now.  Prices range from $60 to $80 on Amazon at the moment.  Full Set of 8 Wands is  $611.66.

Must do more research prior to spending any $$, but it seems like a yellow wand might be my first choice..

Hey DB, A friend just pointed out to me that different color stirwands supposedly have different properties. Do you find that to b true? Or is is just a marketing scheme?

True. Whatever you do, don't use one of the daytime wands before bed. I used my yellow wand once in the late evening and had to stay awake for three hours to wind down. However, if I use that wand all day long then the effect is diminished in the evening. The violet wand, suggested for night use only, is less potent to me but I sleep pretty good anyway.

The blue wand can be used anytime. Right now I'm using the yellow wand a lot in the morning to help wean me off of coffee.

The use of a Stirwand along with drinking plenty of water will quickly restore the thirst reflex and you'll be amazed at how thirsty you are for a while. This wont happen though unless you commit to drinking enough water and putting most other beverages aside or limit them sharply.

An the first thing you do when you hydrate is gain weight. You have to get your mind off of the scales and onto your actual health.
