I am a big fan of an animated series known as "Veggie Tales". They
present Biblical and "good neighbor" ideas in a very cute manner.
They're also a bit twisted, which I love -they'll toss in Monty Python
or other cultural references (one story was "Lord of the Beans" a
take-off on Lord of the Rings - excellent).
They usually have a Silly Song, too. One day, Larry sings "Everybody's
got a water buffalo! Yours is fast but mine is slow oh where they come
from I don't know oh Everybody's got a water buffalooo-ooooooooooo!"
... He gets interrupted by prissy Archibald Asparagus who fusses "You
can't say that everyone HAS a water buffalo when everyone does NOT have
a water buffalo. We're going to get nasty letters from people saying
"Where is MY water buffalo and why don't *I* have a water buffalo? And
are you prepared to deal with that? I don't think so! Just stop being so
silly!"
This morning at work, I'm getting nasty letters saying "Where's MY
data..." and "why don't I have MY report..." ... when they know darn
good and well we're working at about 1/3 power. But instead of
stressing too much about it, I'm singing the Water Buffalo song.
I think it's a sign that she's about to snap! Oh no, now she's talking
about herself in the third person! Eeeek! She did it again!
