So, hi, how ya doin?
I haven't updated in a bit because there hasn't been anything outstanding to say. So, in no particular order:
My hubby is in Dallas for 5 days - my Mom gave him frequent flier miles for his Christmas present so he could go see his kiddos. The "baby" (who is 6'5" or so!) turned 16 today. Happy Birthday, Codemeister!
Things at work are grim. I'm incredibly busy with new projects - work being left behind by others being cut :(. Just not sure the doors are going to remain open from day to day.
I asked Michael to consider hooking up with a recruiting firm since he's not having much luck job-hunting on his own. Keeping good thoughts that something exciting will happen there soon!
After the inauguration Tuesday, I felt ... lighter. May the next 4 years be years of great healing.
My book fetish resurfaced recently. I bought a book about Vikings! It was marked down to $5 and has MAPS so I HAD to have it. It's quite interesting! Poor Michael was "blessed" to enjoy my reading it outloud to him each time I learned a new fact. He's a very patient man!
and.. check your bets! The tree is still up *giggle*
Now is a really good time to draw together. We've made a point to have more group lunches/get-togethers. We've had 2 so far with folks we used to work with and are working on an evening get together soon. Keen! They're such awesome people.
